ABOUT

 

Sam Stauff is the studio manager, audio engineer and adjunct professor for Mercy College’s Music Industry and Technology Program. 

Stauff also works as a freelance audio engineer with Port City Recording. He has worked with Bernie Williams of the New York Yankees, John Nolan of Taking Back Sunday, Darlene Love, Jim Steinman of Meatloaf, Tech N9ne, Deadhorse, 107.1 Peak Performances with The Struts, Barns Courtney, LP, Band of Horses, LoLo, The Alternate Routes, Bobby Bazini, The Chris Robinson Brotherhood, Dispatch, Tom Walker, Amy Shark, Middle Kids, BØRNS among many other artists. 

Stauff also composes music and plays live with Wess Meets West, who have been featured in Paste Magazine, Electronic Musician magazine, Premier Guitar magazine, NPR Morning Edition, CBS, Wrangler, ESPN's X-Games and most recently, Spotify's Deep Focus Playlist which has over four million plays. His band has been labeled as a Top Ten Bands from CT You Need to Know and a Top Up-And-Coming Connecticut Bands to Check out in 2016.

His work has been featured in films such as, Broken Roads and Wombs Discovering the Next Dimension.

Stauff worked the 2016 Rio Olympics at NBC mixing audio for the Basketball Speciality channel. 

He worked as a live technician and monitor engineer for Blue Oyster Cult for four years. 

Stauff has a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Industry and Technology from Mercy College and a Master of Music in Studio Composition from SUNY Purchase.

Sam is currently working as a freelance audio engineer with Port City Recording, as well as the Studio Manager, Audio Engineer and Adjunct Professor at Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, NY.  Sam is a Composer and plays live with Wess Meets West.
